The first stage of iSpring WGB32B whole house water filter system is a sediment water filter.
iSpring FP25B Multi-layer filtration allows for fewer clogs and minimal pressure loss. This water filter is specially designed to remove sediments, dust, sand, large particles, silt, dirt, and rust that can clog the filters that follow.
If your water is hard (TDS / Total Dissolved Solids > 300 ppm), please add a water softener (such as iSpring WCS45KG) before your water filter system for the optimal result.
Stage 2 & 3: Carbon Water Filter
The second and third stages of iSpring WGB32B whole house water filter system is a carbon water filter.
iSpring FC25B carbon block water filter uses high-quality coconut shell carbon and highly compact fabrication tech for maximum filtration efficiency and filter life. It filters up to 100,000 gallons of water (or lasts up to 12 months) and removes up to 99% of chlorine from water, as well as color, cloudiness, and various taste and odor compounds.

Q: With this whole house water filter system, do I still need to install a water softener if my water is very hard?
A: Yes, a water softener is needed if your source water has a high level of hardness, usually with TDS higher than 300 PPM. Hard water can reduce the lifespan of whole house water filter cartridges. The harder the water, the greater amount of scale buildup occurs, and the sooner the filters get clogged.
It is recommended that you install this WGB32B whole home water filtration system after your water softener to achieve optimal performance if you have hard water

Push In to Lock
Equipped with two of 12'' braided stainless steel hoses with brass valves, this iSpring Whole House system can easily be connected to copper, PEX, and CPVC pipes in any combination.
Simply apply some plumber's tape on the male threads to connect to an iSpring Whole House Water Filtration System and push in the Copper, PEX, or CPVC pipe on the other end.
The integrated ball valve provides quarter-turn, single handle shut-off to the water supply.
