Ive been using this water filter system for a couple of months and have been very pleased with it so far. Installation was very simple and took me about half an hour to complete, including the time to drill a hole through the granite counter for the faucet (used a cheap 1/2in diamond bit and followed a youtube video). It comes with very thorough and clear instructions, as well as all of various couplings and fittings youll likely need to hook it into your existing plumbing. You will need a drill, a couple of wrenches for pipe fittings, and maybe some pliers or diagonal cutters for trimming excess tubing. The only big installation hangup some folks might encounter is the need for a spare outlet under or near the sink for the pump. I had to add an extra outlet next to the garbage disposal and dishwasher outlets that were already in use. Performance of the unit so far has been amazing. Our water has relatively high hardness, typically in the range of 300-350mg/L. Using a cheap meter, we measured the filtered water at around 20mg/L. The water tastes great, and obviously doesnt produce scale like the untreated water. The pump is extremely quiet. If the room is absolutely silent, you can hear a faint low frequency pulsing while its running, but under normal conditions its unperceptible and only runs for a little while after dispensing some water. One thing to note is that the system produces filtered water at a pretty slow rate so if you use more than three gallons and deplete the reservoir tank, you will have to wait a while for it to replenish. Aesthetically, the filter system is somewhat large and requires a bit of space under the sink for both the filter manifold and the three gallon pressure tank. Above the counter, the satin nickel spigot looks nice and matches pretty closely the Delta faucet that we already had in a similar finish and handle configuration. Its also sturdily constructed and doesnt look cheap, which was a big concern for us for something so visible on our counters. Finally, customer service has been excellent, and Josh, the CS representative Ive dealt with, has been quick to answer questions and make sure that my experience with the filter is satisfactory. I highly recommend this filter, especially for the price point compared to similar offerings from other vendors.
