Works well and was easy to install. I chose to put the tank in the basement underneath the sink, suspended in my floor joists. This opens up a lot of room that would have been used under the sink. My water has a TDS~500 before the filter and Im getting ~50 after this filter. Its nice to have the peace of mind of clean water. I also really liked the clear filter on the first stage. It will help me keep an eye on the sediment that may be collecting, although I doubt there will much because I have Pentek 20" big blue filter as a whole house filter, using a dual gradient density 25micron to 1 micron filter that already filters out most of the sediment.We really like the taste of the water out of this unit. It tastes like good bottled water. I havent tried it without the alkalizing filter, so I dont really know how it would taste without that. I might try it without that filter in 6 months to see if I can taste a difference.For the line that I ran to the fridge, I used a 3/8" line that I bought from home depot. I bought the 25 length of tubing and 2 of the John Guest 3/8 to 1/4 adapters. It worked wonderfully and I have plenty of pressure at the fridge, too. I was worried about ice cube size, but everything has been working well.We have a family of 3 and this unit makes plenty of water for drinking and cooking. Weve had it installed for about a month and have never ran out of water. Thanksgiving will be a good test for this, but I might just fill up a couple of pitchers the day before just in case.
